Our history

The classic story of the technology company that was born in a garage is also part of our foundation. Back in the early 90s, three young people came together with the aim of starting a business.

Since then, many events have contributed to our history. Technology changes, corporate restructuring, the millennium bug and market transformations were some of the challenges that emerged in our path and made us stronger.

Since the beginning of our history, we have Software Development as our main objective, but the idea that “delivery quality is the best seller” guides our decisions and contributes to today's position among the largest technology companies in Brazil.

1991

Three partners found CWI, a custom software development company. The first headquarters is in a garage in the center of Porto Alegre.

1992

A corporate restructuring takes place and we now have four partners.

1995

Technology migration to a client-server model with Oracle Forms and Reports.

1996

We started providing Outsourcing services. The first client in this category is Companhia Real de Distribuição (currently Grupo Big).

1997

We opened the São Paulo/SP office.

1999

We redefined the pillars of activity for Software Development, Outsourcing and Support.

2000

Technology transition (Open Source).

2002

We opened the office located in Tecnosinos, in São Leopoldo/RS.

2004

A corporate restructuring takes place and we now have three partners.

2005

We obtain the CMMI certification and start major projects.

2007

The São Paulo/SP office is consolidated.

2009

We started the Crescer program.

2013

We have a new corporate restructuring, now with two partners leading CWI.

2014

We expanded the office located in Tecnosinos, in São Leopoldo/RS.

2020

We reached the mark of 1,000 employees. It was also when we started working with the hybrid work model and when we started the Reset program.

2022

The company reaches the milestone of 1,300 employees.
